It is brewed with green tea and contains numerous microorganisms and valuable bacterial cultures. Since these cultures are meant to be preserved, deliberate heat treatment is avoided. This creates a fine sweet-sour aroma that makes the kombucha unique.
KRUT, short for "Surkrut", is the Old High German term for sauerkraut, still used today in the Alemannic linguistic region. The company KRUT revives the forgotten culinary art of fermentation, refines fruits & vegetables, and offers products that are fermented and thus have a longer shelf life.
Furthermore, a stand is taken against food waste: vegetables & fruits that would otherwise be thrown away are given a second chance. Through fermentation, surplus food is rescued, fermented, and made durable.
