It is brewed with green tea and contains numerous microorganisms and bacterial cultures. To preserve these cultures, intentional heat treatment is avoided. This creates a delicate sweet-sour aroma that makes the kombucha unique.
KRUT, short for "Surkrut", is the Old High German term for sauerkraut, still commonly used in the Alemannic linguistic area today. The company KRUT revives the traditional preparation method of fermentation, refines fruits & vegetables, and thereby creates products that can be enjoyed as part of a balanced and varied diet.
Furthermore, a stand is taken against food waste: Vegetables & fruits that would otherwise not be used get a second chance. Through fermentation, surplus foods are rescued, fermented, and preserved.
