Dentists recommend Protefix® Adhesive Cushions for relining the resulting cavities, especially for the special problem cases of the interim period in the lower and upper jaw prostheses.
The adhesive cushions consist of fine, palate-friendly fleece fabric, which contains sodium alginate and additionally supports the adhesive force after a short moistening. The cushions thus offer effective protection against pressure points and inflammation.
In addition to their importance for interim prostheses, they have also proven their worth in the case of severe jaw regression - especially in the lower jaw - when it is very narrow or strongly flattened.
For wearers of full dentures with extreme adhesion problems, Protefix® Adhesive Cushions are therefore often the last resort when nothing else will hold.
Application
Lower jaw prostheses
Step 1: Cut the cushion to fit for small prostheses. Moisten the cushion and apply it as with the upper jaw
Step 2: Press the cushion into the recess of the prosthesis with your index finger (starting in the middle) until it fits everywhere.
Note
Only use on healthy mucous membranes. For hygienic reasons, the Protefix® Adhesive Cushion should be changed at least once a day. Do not use after the expiry date. Adhesive cushions should only be used temporarily. Have the fit of your prosthesis checked regularly.
Only for full dentures. Not for partial dentures or combined dentures (cover dentures, telescopes, conical crowns, anchors, attachments, etc.).
