About the producer
During freeze-drying, the ripe fruits are deprived of their moisture through sublimation. Thanks to this special preservation process, the taste of fresh fruits is retained – without any additional additives! We have therefore not added any sugar to our strawberry slices – they have their irresistible sweetness naturally. Strawberries are already real favourites among fruit varieties, but freeze-dried you will experience an unmistakable explosion of flavour – crunchy and sweet at the same time.
Our family business is located in the heart of the Mostviertel.
As an innovative young farmer, Rudolf Halbmayr brought the idea of a "berry world" to Wolfsbach as early as 1979.
Since then, everything on our farm has revolved around the sweet, red fruit. The valuable knowledge is passed on from generation to generation and berry cultivation is further developed with great enthusiasm. In the meantime, we cultivate strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and asparagus. These are also refined into tasteful products.
We strive to produce tasty, ripe, high-quality fruit and vegetables. Sustainability and resource-saving, organic cultivation are very important to us. Through the use of beneficial insects, the creation of flower strips, ongoing training, international exchange of knowledge and a lot of manual work, we want to meet these requirements.
For many years we have also been cultivating our strawberries in foil tunnels. These enable early, regional fruits to be harvested in the best quality.
