What are Nerventropfen “Similasan” and what are they used for?

Nerventropfen “Similasan” is a homeopathic medicine. Homeopathy is understood as a regulatory therapy for acute and chronic diseases.
The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug images.
This includes the supportive treatment of

• Inner restlessness with palpitations, anxiety, agitation, inner trembling,
  choking sensation in the chest and throat,
• neuro-vegetative disorders with flatulence, belching, gagging, gastrointestinal
  cramps, anxiety, cramps,
• nervous sleep disorders, superficial, restless sleep, difficulty falling asleep, nocturnal palpitations,
• nervous heart problems, heart restlessness, palpitations,
• circulatory weakness with rapid fatigue, dizziness.

The use of this homeopathic medicine in the mentioned areas of application is based exclusively on homeopathic experience.
In severe forms of these diseases, a clinically proven therapy is indicated.

What should you consider before taking it?

What should you consider before taking Nerventropfen “Similasan”?

Nerventropfen “Similasan” must not be taken,
- if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.

Warnings and precautions
If the symptoms persist for more than 3 days despite treatment or if you feel seriously ill, it is essential to consult a doctor.

When taking homeopathic medicines, the existing symptoms may temporarily worsen (initial reaction). Such reactions are usually harmless. If the symptoms do not improve, the medicine should be discontinued. After the initial reaction has subsided, the medicine can be taken again. If the symptoms worsen again, the medicine should be discontinued.

Any prolonged treatment with a homeopathic medicine should be supervised by a doctor experienced in homeopathy, as unwanted drug testing symptoms (new symptoms) may occur if the medicine is not taken as directed.

Taking Nerventropfen “Similasan” with other medicinesInform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or intend to take any other medicines.

Interactions with other medicines have not been reported to date.

Taking this homeopathic medicine does not replace a medical diagnosis or other medicines prescribed by a doctor.

Taking Nerventropfen “Similasan” with food and drinks
The effect of a homeopathic medicine can be adversely affected by generally harmful factors in the lifestyle and by stimulants and luxury foods.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
There is no indication for use during pregnancy.
There are no data on the use during breastfeeding.
There is no evidence of a special risk for use during breastfeeding.
Caution should be exercised when using during breastfeeding.
There are no data on fertility and childbearing potential.

Driving and using machines
Nerventropfen “Similasan” has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Nerventropfen “Similasan” contains alcohol
This medicine contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100 mg per single dose.

How to take the medicine?

How to take Nerventropfen “Similasan”?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet
or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

a) Children from 6 years: Take 5 drops as a single dose diluted in water
b) Adolescents from 12 years and adults: Take 10 drops as a single dose

For general calming: 3 times a day, for severe symptoms: every quarter or half hour (maximum 8 times a day) until a significant improvement occurs. Then, at your own discretion, 3-5 times a day.

When the symptoms improve, the frequency of use should be reduced.

The use of Nerventropfen “Similasan” in children under 6 years of age is not recommended, as there is insufficient data.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, consult your doctor.

Place drops directly on the tongue or take diluted with very little water. Always dilute for children.
Spread over the surrounding mucous membranes with the tongue.
May also be taken on an empty stomach.

If you have used more Nerventropfen “Similasan” than you should
No cases of overdose have been reported to date.

If you forget to use Nerventropfen “Similasan”
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take the previous dose.

How to store Nerventropfen “Similasan”?

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Do not store above 25°C.
Do not store near strong electromagnetic fields (TVs, computer screens, microwave ovens).
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and the folding box.

1 g (=60 drops) contains: 250 mg Asa foetida D 6, 250 mg Crataegus D 4, 250 mg Lycopus virginicus D 3, 250 mg Passiflora incarnata D 4

The other ingredients are:
Water, Ethanol (total ethanol content 55.8 % Vol.%)
