Lactobacillus gasseri colonizes the human small intestine.
Application
What is Omniflora and what is it used for?
Lactobacillus gasseri colonizes the human small intestine.
This creates acidic conditions, inhibiting the growth of pathogenic microorganisms.
Bifidobacterium longum is found in the small and large intestines.
It primarily breaks down carbohydrates into acetic acid and lactic acid and counteracts gas-forming bacteria.
Omniflora is used
- as a supportive treatment for diseases of the small or large intestine that are accompanied by diarrhea, flatulence, or even constipation.
- to support the rebuilding of the intestinal flora (e.g. after antibiotic treatment).
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 to 10 days, contact your doctor.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Omniflora.
Before taking it for existing severe gastrointestinal diseases (Crohn's disease, ulcers, tumors), it is essential to consult a doctor.
Omniflora cannot replace the replacement of mineral salts and fluids necessary for diarrheal diseases.
When supporting bowel function in diarrhea, especially in children and the elderly, attention must be paid to replacing fluids and electrolytes as the most important therapeutic measure. In principle, a doctor should be consulted for diarrhea that lasts longer than 2 days, shows blood, or is accompanied by fever and circulatory problems.
In case of diarrheal diseases in infants and toddlers, rapid medical treatment is always necessary.
In patients with acute pancreatitis, consultation with a doctor is required before taking it.
Taking Omniflora with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used, or plan to take/use any other medicines.
Do not use together with antibiotics or chemotherapeutics that act on certain bacteria (on gram-positive bacterial rods).
The effectiveness of Omniflora may be reduced if taken at the same time as antibiotics. Therefore, take Omniflora at least 2 hours after a dose of antibiotics.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
There are no adequate studies on the use of this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding. No evidence of risks has emerged from the widespread use of Lactobacillus gasseri and Bifidobacterium longum as medicines or in food, but due to insufficient studies, taking Omniflora is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines
Omniflora has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Omniflora contains lactose and sucrose
1 capsule contains 25 mg of lactose. Lactose intolerance is not a contraindication, as lactose serves as a substrate for the bacterial active ingredients. However, caution is advised, as isolated cases of diarrhea have been reported in patients with lactose intolerance.
Please only take Omniflora after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from a sugar intolerance.
