WHAT IS LUUF ESSENTIAL OIL BALM AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Luuf essential oil balm contains the active ingredients of essential oils from eucalyptus and the resin balm of various types of pine, as well as camphor, menthol and thymol.

The active ingredients are partly absorbed through the skin and cause increased blood flow, which causes a warming sensation. On the other hand, the essential oils reach the lungs directly from the treated parts of the body via the respiratory air as slightly volatile components.

Luuf essential oil balm has an antispasmodic, antiseptic (germicidal) and expectorant effect. The mucus that is stuck is liquefied and can be coughed up better. Furthermore, breathing is made easier and the urge to cough is relieved.

Areas of application:

  • for external use in colds with symptoms such as cough, runny nose and pharyngitis.
  • for supportive treatment of tracheal and bronchial catarrh (bronchitis) as well as of persistently recurring catarrh.

Ingredients

1 g of balm contains: 100 mg camphor, 27.5 mg menthol, 50 mg essential eucalyptus oil, 50 mg rectified essential turpentine oil, 30 mg essential mountain pine oil and 35 mg pine needle oil, 2.5 mg thymol.

What should you consider before taking it?

Luuf essential oil balm must not be used,

  • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of Luuf essential oil balm.
  • in case of previously occurred febrile convulsions or epilepsy
  • in infants and toddlers under 2 years of age due to the content of camphor and menthol (risk of laryngeal spasm)
  • in patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases that are associated with pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract. Inhalation of Luuf essential oil balm can lead to shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack.
Special care must be taken when using Luuf essential oil balm,

Luuf essential oil balm must not be used on damaged or inflamed skin, open wounds, burns or skin diseases with a rash.

Use Luuf essential oil balm only externally. Do not apply to the face or mucous membranes, avoid contact with eyes, mouth and nose.

Children:
The Luuf balms are tailored to specific age groups. Baby Luuf essential oil balm is intended for infants from the age of 6 months to 2 years. Children's Luuf balm is available for children from the age of 2 to 12.
