What should you consider before taking it?

WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE TAKING Traumeel ?

Traumeel must not be taken,
- if you are allergic to Atropa belladonna, Aconitum napellus, Symphytum officinale, Calendula officinalis, Hamamelis virginiana, Achillea millefolium, Chamomilla recutita, Echinacea angustifolia, Echinacea purpurea, Hypericum perforatum, Arnica montana, Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni, Hepar sulfuris, Bellis perennis or any of the other ingredients of this drug listed in section 6.
- Traumeel must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to Achillea millefolium (yarrow), Chamomilla (camomile), Calendula (marigold) or other members of the daisy family.
- For fundamental reasons, Echinacea (coneflower) must not be used in progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, leukaemia or leukaemia-like diseases, inflammatory diseases of the connective tissue (collagenoses), autoimmune diseases, multiple sclerosis, AIDS, HIV infection and other chronic viral diseases.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Traumeel.

If the symptoms persist for more than 7 days despite treatment or if you feel seriously ill, it is essential to consult a doctor.

There are no adequate studies on the use of Traumeel during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It should therefore not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

This drug contains 73.5 - 147 mg of alcohol per single dose (5 - 10 drops), 220.5 mg - 1176 mg of alcohol per maximum daily dose (15 - 80 drops) and must therefore not be given to alcoholics.
The alcohol content must be taken into account in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in children and patients at increased risk due to liver disease or epilepsy.

How should the drug be taken?

HOW SHOULD Traumeel BE TAKEN?

Always take this drug exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is:

Adults aged 18 and over take: 10 drops 3 times a day
In the acute phase, max. 10 drops every 1/2 to 1 hour, 8 times a day

Use in children and adolescents:
Children aged 2 - 6 take: 5 drops 3 times a day
Children aged 6 - 12 take: 7 drops 3 times a day
Adolescents aged 12 and over take: 10 drops 3 times a day

In the acute phase, take:
Children aged 2 - 6: max. 5 drops every 1/2 to 1 hour, 8 times a day
Children aged 6 - 12: max. 7 drops every 1/2 to 1 hour, 8 times a dayAdolescents aged 12 and over: max. 10 drops every 1/2 to 1 hour, 8 times a day

Take less often when symptoms subside.

Children under 2 years of age
The use of Traumeel in children under 2 years of age is not recommended, as there is insufficient data available.

The drops are taken with or without water before meals.

If you have taken more Traumeel than you should.No cases of overdose have been reported to date

The alcohol content of 35% by volume must be taken into account.
