Pantogar is a hair and nail therapeutic for oral intake and supplies the hair
and nails with the building blocks calcium-D-pantothenate and the amino acid L-cystine via the bloodstream.
Areas of application:
- To improve the structure of stressed, thin, inelastic, brittle, fragile and dull-looking hair
- For the supportive treatment of localised and diffuse hair loss, hair growth disorders and nail growth disorders (brittle, splintering and inelastic nails)
Pantogar is not indicated for scarred or hormone-related hair loss (including
male pattern baldness).

What should you consider before taking Pantogar capsules?
Pantogar must not be taken,
if you are hypersensitive to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6.

Taking Pantogar capsules together with other medicines
No interactions with other medicines are known to date.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine. Pantogar capsules should not be taken during pregnancy and breast-feeding due to the lack of data.
Driving and using machines
Pantogar capsules have no or negligible influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
How should the medicine be taken?
How should Pantogar be taken?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults take 1 capsule 3 times a day with the main meals, unchewed with a little liquid. Since hair formation is a relatively slow process, regular intake of Pantogar capsules in the prescribed dosage over a period of 3 to 6 months is important in order to achieve successful treatment. The treatment can be continued or repeated if necessary.
Use in children and adolescents
Pantogar is not recommended for use in children and adolescents due to the lack of sufficient data.
If you have taken more Pantogar capsules than you should
Poisoning with Pantogar capsules is not known and is not to be expected even in the case of overdose.
If you forget to take Pantogar capsules
Do not take double the amount if you have forgotten to take the previous dose.
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
What side effects are possible?
How should Pantogar capsules be stored?
Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not store above 25°C.
Store in the original packaging in order to protect the contents from light.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you no longer use it. This helps to protect the environment.

What Pantogar contains
- The active ingredients are:
60 mg calcium-D-pantothenate and 220 mg L-cystine - The other ingredients are:
Cellulose, povidone, talcum, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, gelatine, dyes titanium dioxide (E171) and iron oxide (E 172).
Opaque, two-coloured (ivory/white opaque), oblong capsules.
Pantogar is packaged in PVC-aluminium blister packs of 30, 90, 300 and 2 x 150 (bundle pack) capsules.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
