What is Nicorette and what is it used for?
Nicorette belongs to a group of medicines used for smoking cessation.
Nicorette contains nicotine as an active ingredient, which enters the body through the oral mucosa.
By supplying nicotine through Nicorette, the withdrawal symptoms that occur due to nicotine withdrawal are prevented or at least significantly reduced, thus reducing the patient's craving for smoking. These withdrawal symptoms primarily include irritability, restlessness, anxiety, increased appetite, difficulty concentrating and sleeping, which in many cases lead patients to resume smoking.
