Description.
Raspberries belong to the family of rose plants. The designation as a "berry" is actually misleading: botanically speaking, they belong to the so-called aggregate fruits (just like blackberries or strawberries). A raspberry bush can grow between 0.6 and 2.0 meters tall.
About the producer
The Biobeerengarten Hummel is located in the midst of untouched nature in the idyllic town of Loosdorf in the north-eastern Weinviertel.
For more than 30 years now, organic berries such as raspberries, blueberries, golden berries (=physalis), currants (=red, white and black currants), goji berries, table grapes and the unique Weinviertel kiwi have been ripening in our garden into aromatically sweet fruits. The fully ripe organic berries are carefully hand-picked and processed into natural and healthy delicacies of the highest quality. All fruits and products are organically produced - from our own fruits, by hand and by ourselves.
Storage recommendation
Berries have a short shelf life. They stay fresh the longest when stored constantly cool and dry, ideally unwashed in a shallow container in the refrigerator. It is important to make sure that they do not lie in their own juice or in condensation water, as this promotes mold growth.
