Traumeel Gel

Traumeel® contains a combination of proven homeopathic active ingredients. It stimulates the healing of blunt injuries and is suitable for everyday and sports injuries such as bruises, sprains, dislocations, and hematomas.
Traumeel® also helps with degenerative symptoms of bones and joints. In the case of chronic complaints of the musculoskeletal system such as degenerative and/or rheumatic joint diseases,
a combination of Traumeel® with Zeel® tablets and ointment is recommended.
Traumeel® is available in your pharmacy as an ointment, gel, drops, and tablets.

Homeopathy, to stimulate the body's own regulation.

How is it used?

What is Traumeel and what is it used for?

Traumeel is a homeopathic combination drug.
Homeopathy is understood as a regulatory therapy for acute and chronic diseases.

The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug profiles.
These include:

• blunt injuries such as
  - sprains
  - dislocations
  - bruises
  - hematomas
• degenerative symptoms of bones and joints

The use of this homeopathic medicine in the mentioned areas of application is based exclusively on homeopathic experience.
In severe forms of these diseases, clinically proven therapy is indicated.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.

What should you consider before taking it?

What should you consider before using Traumeel?

Traumeel must not be used,

• if you are allergic to Arnica montana, Calendula officinalis, Hamamelis virginiana, Echinacea, Echinacea purpurea, Chamomilla recutita, Symphytum officinale, Bellis perennis, Hypericum perforatum, Achillea millefolium, Aconitum napellus, Atropa bella-donna, Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni, Hepar sulfuris or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. or other composite flowers.

Warnings and Precautions
Do not apply to open skin, mucous membranes, and irradiated skin areas.When using homeopathic medicines, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen (initial reaction). Such reactions are usually harmless. If the symptoms do not improve, the medicine should be discontinued. After the initial reaction has subsided, the medicine can be used again. If the symptoms worsen again, the medicine should be discontinued.

Children
The use of Traumeel in children under 1 year of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data.

Use of Traumeel with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or intend to take any other medicines.
So far, no interactions with other medicines have become known.

Use of Traumeel with food and drink
The effect of a homeopathic medicine can be adversely affected by generally harmful factors in the lifestyle and by stimulants and luxury foods.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Data on use during pregnancy and lactation are not available.
Use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

Driving and operating machinery
Traumeel has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to use Traumeel?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Children from 1 year, adolescents and adults:
Apply to the affected areas 2 times a day, or more often if necessary.
Apply less frequently when symptoms subside.

Use in children under 1 year of age
The use of Traumeel in children under 1 year of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data.

Type of application
Gel for application to the skin
Open the tube closure using the pin in the screw cap.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.

If you have used more Traumeel than you should
Wipe off any excess gel with a cloth.
No cases of overdose have been reported.
If you forget to use Traumeel
Do not use double the amount if you forget to use it before.

How should Traumeel be stored?

Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not store above 30ºC.
Shelf life after opening 12 months.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the tube and carton after "Use by:". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

What Traumeel looks like and contents of the pack
Traumeel is a brownish to brownish-yellowish-greenish gel.
It is supplied in aluminum tubes with a plastic screw cap with a pin in a cardboard box. One pack contains 50 g or 100 g of gel.
