What you should be aware of before taking Tavipec?

Tavipec must not be taken
if you are allergic to spikenard oil or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6. This medicine may be used in combination with other medicines.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Tavipec.
If you experience shortness of breath or fever, or if you have a purulent or bloody cough, seek medical advice immediately.

Children:
In the absence of adequate data, use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.

Taking Tavipec with other medicines

Tavipec capsules contain Gelborange S (E 110), which may cause allergic reactions.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take Tavipec?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 2 capsules 3 times a day.

How to use:
Indicated. The capsules should be taken whole ½ hour before meals with sufficient liquid.

Duration of use:
- If a high fever occurs, or if there is no improvement in symptoms after 7 days, a doctor must be consulted.
Use in children:
Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended due to lack of data.

If you have taken a larger amount of Tavipec than you should
No cases of overdose have been reported.

If you forget to take Tavipec
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

- The active substance is: Spiclava oil (Spicae aetheroleum)
- The other ingredients are:
- Capsule shell: gelatin, glycerol 85%, quinoline yellow (E-104), yellow borange (E-110),
- Capsule coating: methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer, sodium dodecyl sulphate, propylene glycol, polysorbate 80, glycerol monostearate.
