Valerian "Sanova" Night Rest Coated Tablets must not be taken
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to valerian root extract or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6. This medicine may be taken by mouth if you are allergic (sensitive) to valerian root extract or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6.

Children
Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended due to lack of data.

Take Valerian "Sanova" Night Rest Dragees with other medicinesInform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist
for advice before taking this medicine.

As there are insufficient data for the use of valerian root extract during pregnancy and breast-feeding, its use during this period is not recommended.

Driving and ability to operate machinery

Baldrian "Sanova" Night Rest Coated Tablets contain lactose (milk sugar), sucrose (rum sugar) and glucose.Please therefore only take Valerian "Sanova" Night Rest Dragees after consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from a sugar intolerance.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take Valerian "Sanova" Night Rest Coated Tablets?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over:
1-2 coated tablets half an hour to an hour before bedtime.
If necessary, take an additional 1-2 coated tablets earlier in the evening.
Maximum daily dose: 4 coated tablets.

How to use:
Ingestion.
The dragées should be taken unchewed with sufficient non-alcoholic liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).

Duration of use:
Baldrian "Sanova" Night Rest Coated Tablets are not suitable for the acute treatment of sleep disorders, as the maximum effect only occurs after 2-4 weeks of continuous use.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 2 weeks, consult your doctor.

Use in children
Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended as there is insufficient experience.

If you have taken a larger amount of Valerian "Sanova" Night Rest Coated Tablets than you should
Valerian root causes the following symptoms in doses of about 20 g (equivalent to about 15 coated tablets): Fatigue, abdominal cramps, chest tightness, drowsiness, tremor (shaking) of the hands and mydriasis (dilatation of the pupils). These subside spontaneously within 24 hours. If symptoms occur, contact your doctor.

If you forget to take Valerian "Sanova" Night Rest Dragees
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

Use within 6 months after opening the tin. Do not store above 25°C after first opening.

- The active substance is: Valerian root extract
1 coated tablet contains 300 mg dry extract of valerian root (Valerianae radix, DEV = 3-6 : 1, extraction agent: ethanol 70% V/V).
- The other ingredients are:
Spray-dried glucose syrup, silicon dioxide, cellulose, lactose monohydrate, sodium starch glycolate, talc, stearic acid, sucrose, gum.ure, sucrose, gum arabic, basic butyl methacrylate copolymer (Eudragit E 12.5), methyl cellulose, calcium carbonate, povidone, glycerol 85%, iron oxides/hydroxides brown and red (E 172), montanglycol wax.
