Halset has an effect against bacteria and fungi that occur more frequently in inflammations of the mouth and throat.

Halset lozenges are used for the supportive treatment of mild to moderate inflammation of the throat and oral cavity (sore throat, inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums).

If you do not feel better or even worse after 5 days, consult your doctor.

How is it applied?

What are Halset lozenges and what are they used for?

Halset has an effect against bacteria and fungi, which occur more frequently during inflammations in the mouth and throat.

Neck Set lozenges are used for the supportive treatment of mild to moderate inflammation of the throat and oral cavity (sore throat, inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums).

Neck set is used for adults, adolescents and children from 6 years of age.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 5 days, consult your doctor.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you know before taking Halset lozenges?

Neck Set must not be taken,
- if you are allergic to cetylpyridinium chloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
- of children under 6 years of age.
- for inflammations in the oral cavity, throat or pharynx due to radiation damage.
- of patients with bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases associated with marked hypersensitivity of the airways. Inhalation of Halset lozenges may cause shortness of breath or trigger an asthma attack.

Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Halset.
At the first signs of hypersensitivity reactions, e.g. skin rashes, please report this to the doctor.

For severe or purulent sore throats, seek medical advice as soon as possible.

In case of mucosal damage, Halset lozenges should not be used because of possible wound healing problems.

Some substances in toothpastes can reduce the effect of Halset. Therefore, do not use Halset lozenges immediately before or after brushing your teeth.

Please ensure that Halset lozenges are not used as a "sugar substitute", especially with children.

Taking Halset Lozenges with other medicines
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.

The effect of Halset lozenges is inhibited by protein, blood and pus. Substances containing certain fats (e.g.: phospholipids) can also weaken the effect of Halset lozenges.

Simultaneous use with other antiseptics (medicines for the treatment of local infections) should be avoided.

Taking Halset lozenges with food, drink and alcohol As the effect of Halset in the mouth and throat can be weakened by e.g. protein or certain fats, it is recommended not to eat any food immediately after sucking Halset lozenges.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using this medicine.

Fertility damaging effects are not known. However, for reasons of special caution, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Neck Set Lozenges contain sorbitol
This medicinal product contains 742.35 mg sorbitol/s lozenge.
Sorbitol is a source of fructose. Talk to your doctor before you (or your child) take or receive this medicine if your doctor has told you that you (or your child) have an intolerance to some sugars or if you have been diagnosed with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI) - a rare congenital condition in which a person cannot break down fructose.
Sorbitol can cause gastrointestinal discomfort and may have a mild laxative effect.

How should the medicine be taken?

How should Halset lozenges be taken?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

For use in the oral cavity.
Melt the tablets slowly in the mouth for optimal effect (do not bite).

Adults and adolescents over 12 years
1 tablet at 1-2 hour intervals (maximum 8 tablets per day).

Children 6 - 12 years
1 tablet at 3-4 hour intervals (maximum 4 tablets per day).

Do not exceed the stated dosage.

Do not use with other antiseptics (medicines for the treatment of local infections).

Duration of use.
If the symptoms do not subside or disappear after approx. 5 days, please seek medical advice.
For severe sore throats or sore throats accompanied by high fever, headache, nausea or vomiting or lasting longer than 2 days, consult a doctor.

Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

-Each tablet contains 1.5 mg cetylpyridinium chloride.H2O.
- The other ingredients are: Sorbitol (E420) 742.4 mg (equivalent to 0.06 BE), peppermint oil 1.2 mg, racemic menthol 1.2 mg, magnesium stearate.
