- if you are allergic to dry extract of ivy leaves or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. This medicinal product must not be taken if you are allergic to dry extract of ivy leaves or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6.

Warnings and precautions

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Alpinamed Cough Loosener - Syrup.

If symptoms persist for a long time, shortness of breath, fever, purulent or bloody sputum occur, a doctor must be consulted.

Alpinamed Oral Cough Remover Syrup should only be used in infants after consulting a doctor.

Caution is recommended in patients with gastritis or stomach ulcers.
Take Alpinamed Cough Loosener - Syrup with other medicines

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or do not intend to take/use any other medicines.

Simultaneous use with antitussives (medicines to suppress the urge to cough)

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist
for advice before taking this medicine.

Since there are insufficient data, its use during pregnancy and breast-feeding cannot be recommended.

Do not drive or use machinery

Alpinamed Cough Lozenge Syrup has no effect on the ability to drive or use machinery.

Alpinamed Cough Remover - Syrup contains fructose, sodium benzoate and propylene glycol..

This medicinal product contains up to 324.2 mg fructose per ml syrup.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking/giving this medicine if your doctor has told you that you (or your child) have an intolerance to some sugars or if you have been diagnosed with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI) - a rare congenital condition in which fructose cannot be broken down.

This medicinal product contains 1.7 mg sodium benzoate per ml syrup. This medicinal product contains 97.5 mg propylene glycol per ml syrup.

If your child is younger than 5 years, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before giving him/her this medicine, especially if your child is receiving other medicines containing propylene glycol or alcohol at the same time.

This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per ml syrup, i.e. it is almost "sodium-free".

Note for diabetics: 1 ml Alpinamed Cough Remover - Syrup contains 0.02 BE.

How should the medicine be taken?

How to take Alpinamed Cough Loosener - Syrup?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Children:

1 - 11 months: 1 ml 2 times daily

1 -3 years:

3 times daily 1 ml

4 - 11 years: 3 to 5 times daily 2 ml

Adults and young people aged 12 and over:

3 to 4 times daily 4 ml

Alpinamed Cough Loosener - Syrup should only be used in babies after consulting a doctor.

The use in infants under 1 month of age cannot be recommended as there are insufficient data.
Type of application:
For ingestion.

For exact dosing of Alpinamed Cough Loosener - Syrup, a dosing aid is enclosed.

Shake well before use.

After use, rinse the dosing aid with warm water and dry.

- The other ingredients are: Fructose, potassium sorbate, maltodextrin, sodium benzoate (E211), povidone K 30, propylene glycol, flavouring (cherry juice flavouring), purified water.
