This medicinal product contains 1.7 mg sodium benzoate per ml syrup. This medicinal product contains 97.5 mg propylene glycol per ml syrup.
If your child is younger than 5 years, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before giving him/her this medicine, especially if your child is receiving other medicines containing propylene glycol or alcohol at the same time.
This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per ml syrup, i.e. it is almost "sodium-free".

How should the medicine be taken?
How to take Alpinamed Cough Loosener - Syrup?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Children:
1 - 11 months: 1 ml 2 times daily
| 1 -3 years: | 3 times daily 1 ml |
4 - 11 years: 3 to 5 times daily 2 ml
Adults and young people aged 12 and over:
3 to 4 times daily 4 ml
Alpinamed Cough Loosener - Syrup should only be used in babies after consulting a doctor.
The use in infants under 1 month of age cannot be recommended as there are insufficient data.
