Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby, because breast milk provides your child with all the important nutrients it needs for growth and development. In addition, the mother-child relationship is strengthened. A nutritious diet for the mother during pregnancy and breastfeeding is particularly important and promotes milk production. This is promoted by early and regular donning. Check with health care professionals (e.g. paediatrician, maternal-father consultation, midwife, breastfeeding counsellor) if your child needs complementary feeding. The use of an infant formula may affect breastfeeding success. The decision not to breastfeed can be difficult to reverse.
