About Manufacturer
LEGO GmbH began manufacturing molds in 1958 in the basement of its German sales company in Hohenwestedt. In 1964, this became LEGO Werkzeugbau GmbH, which produced molds for new and established products. The first molds were for LEGO plastic cars in a 1:80 scale. Sustainability played an important role: worn mold parts were recycled and reused. In 2002, the production facility was sold due to global competition.
Storage
Store in a dry place.
