Ingredients
- 150 g tuna in its own juice (drained)
- 4 slices wholemeal bread
- 30 g broccoli (fresh or frozen)
- 1 spring onion
- 50 g Edam cheese (30 % fat i. Tr.)
- 2 tsp butter (room temperature)
- 50 g sour cream (15 % fat)
- 1 pinch fine iodized table salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
Preparation
- 1First, prepare the tuna mixture: Finely grate the Edam cheese and place it in a large bowl.
- 2Wash the broccoli and spring onion, chop them finely, and add them to the bowl with the cheese.
- 3Add the drained tuna, soft butter, sour cream, as well as salt and pepper, and mix everything thoroughly.
- 4Preheat the contact grill. In the meantime, prepare the sandwiches: Spread the tuna mixture evenly on 2 slices of wholemeal bread and cover with the remaining 2 slices.
- 5Place the sandwiches in the preheated grill and bake for approx. 3–6 minutes until golden brown.
- 6Serve the finished sandwiches immediately, preferably with fresh vegetables of your choice.
- 7Tip: If you don't have a contact grill, the sandwiches can also be toasted in a pan over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side (dry or with a little butter). When flipping, place a lid on the pan so that the cheese melts optimally.
