Neurexan is a homeopathic specialty drug.
How is it used?
What is Neurexan and what is it used for?
Neurexan is a homeopathic specialty drug. Homeopathy is understood as a regulatory therapy for acute and chronic diseases.
The areas of application are derived from the homeopathic drug images. The following area of application is approved for this drug:
- nervous restlessness
- sleep disorders
In severe forms of these diseases, clinically proven therapy is indicated.
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
Neurexan tablets are used in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.
What should you consider before taking it?
What should you consider before taking Neurexan?
Neurexan must not be taken,
- if you are allergic to Avena sativa, Coffea arabica, Passiflora incarnata, Zincum isovalerianicum or any of the other ingredients of this drug listed in section 6.
Warnings and precautions
If your general condition worsens, or if you have persistent, new or unclear symptoms, you should see a doctor, as these may be diseases that require medical clarification.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Neurexan.
So-called initial reactions can occur when using homeopathic medicines. Such reactions generally subside quickly on their own.
For fundamental reasons, a homeopathic drug should be controlled by a doctor experienced in homeopathy for a longer period of time.
Children
The use of Neurexan in children under 12 years of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data.
Taking Neurexan with other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking / using, have recently taken / used or intend to take / use any other medicines.
No interactions are known.
Taking Neurexan with food and drink
The effect of a homeopathic drug can be adversely affected by generally harmful factors in the lifestyle and by stimulants and luxury foods.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this drug.
There is no evidence of a particular risk for use during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Caution should be exercised when used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Driving and using machines
No studies have been conducted on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines. Effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery have not been reported to date.
Neurexan contains lactose
Please only take Neurexan after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from a sugar intolerance.
How should the drug be taken?
How should Neurexan be taken?
Always take this drug exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as agreed with your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over:
1 to 3 times a day, 1 tablet
in acute cases: 1 tablet every ½ - 1 hour up to 12 times a day.
When the symptoms improve, the frequency of use should be reduced.
Type of application:
For oral use
Let the tablets dissolve slowly under the tongue. It should be taken 30 minutes before or after a meal.
Duration of use:
If you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
Use in children
As there is insufficient data, use in children under 12 years of age cannot be recommended.
If you have taken more Neurexan than you should
No cases of overdose are known.
If you forget to take Neurexan
Do not take double the amount if you have forgotten to take the previous dose.
If you have any further questions about taking this drug, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
What side effects are possible?
How should Neurexan be stored?
Store in the original packaging.
No special storage conditions are required for the unopened drug with regard to temperature.
Do not store above 30°C after opening.
Keep this drug out of the reach of children.
Do not use this drug after the expiry date which is stated on the label and carton after "Use by:". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.
Shelf life after opening: 12 months.
Do not dispose of drugs in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the drug when you stop using it. You help to protect the environment.

The active ingredients of a tablet are:

Passiflora incarnata | D2 | 0.6 mg |
Zincum isovalerianicum | D4 | 0.6 mg |
The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate
What Neurexan looks like and contents of the pack
Neurexan are white to yellowish-white, round, flat on both sides, with a facet and are available in tablet round containers with a plastic stopper.
One pack contains 25, 50, 100, 250 tablets.
Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
