Macallan Cask Double Classic Cut 2020

The Macallan has released the Classic Cut 2020 Edition, a higher concentrated single malt that offers a full and increased taste. As the fourth edition in the limited annual Classic Cut series, the 2020 edition demonstrates The Macallan's continuous quest for the extraordinary and offers a remarkable tasting journey of discovery. Macallan whiskey maker Polly Logan used her skill and experience to create a single malt with a unique taste and character.
This exceptional whisky offers a sweet lightness brought from the ex-bourbon oak barrels, combined with the depth and complexity created by The Macallan's signature sherry spiced oak barrels. It has a higher alcohol value of 55%, which has been selected by the whisky maker as the optimal level to bring out the full character of the single malt and reveal the dominant notes of vanilla, sweet orange and fresh, vibrant oak.
Tasting note:
Colour: sunlit straw
Aroma: Vanilla with candied orange peel and honey, sweet sultanas and raisins with fresh oak and thyme
Taste: Ginger warmth, sweet orange, vanilla and honey with fresh, lively oak
Finish: sweet and tangy, with an aftertaste of fresh thyme
Serving suggestion: Enjoy pure or with a drop of room temperature water
Citadelle Gin No Mistake Old Tom

In 1836, when he drove around London's bars, Charles Dickens was amazed by “the ingenuity with which you give the gin nickname, one term being more seductive than the other...
““ No Mistake” is one of the nicknames that Dickens wrote down, and it seemed appropriate for the Old Tom, created in honor of this great elixir.
The challenge was to put this gin in context by starting from the base of a popular gin of the 19th century. During his frequent trips to the Caribbean, he discovered a wonderful brown sugar, such as Demerara, moist and heavy. That was the ingredient that was missing. This sugar is roasted in copper boilers for a first caramelization stage, then slightly diluted and finally intoxicated. It is then aged in barrels for three to four months.
Tasting note:
Colour: Gold
Aroma: Fresh and powerful, the attack shows juniper, orange peel and cardamom, then it will be more floral and vegetable, with jasmine and honeysuckle and notes of fennel and cumin, and almost sweet, with coffee
Taste: full and elegant, with a sweet and sour profile of pickled lemon peel, Génépi, anise and almonds, which extends to spicy notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and cube pepper
Finish: beautiful length, floral, spicy and woody, with notes of coriander, violet, angelica, cumin, grains of paradise and licorice
Serving Suggestion: Pure with an ice cube
