Hon Tsuyu from Kikkoman is a sauce, which consists of soy sauce, dashi broth (Japanese fish stock) and mirin (sweet rice wine).
The sauce, also known as Tentsuyu, is typically used to season tempura: The tempura is briefly dipped into the sauce using chopsticks and then eaten.
Furthermore, it can also be used for noodle soups and stews as a soup base . But it can also be used to create a super umami flavour in other dishes!
It should be noted that the sauce from Kikkoman is a concentrate. This is mixed with water in a ratio of 1:3 and is only then ready for consumption!
