About the producer:

Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1892 - great-grandfather Leonhard Panholzer founded a grocery shop with dairy operations at the old railway station together with his wife. Coffee was also sold there from a small roastery in Hamburg, which was still a real rarity back then.

The passion for high-quality coffee has prevailed in the family - some 120 years later, the great-great-grandson Leonhard, Hardi Wild and his wife Steffi founded the Wildkaffee roastery at the foot of the Zugspitze.

"Best green coffee and fair trade with our partners locally and from all over the world. Artisanal and gentle roasting, as well as individual preparation of our speciality coffees" - this is the guideline that has accompanied the Wildkaffee Rösterei team for years in conjuring up the best possible coffee in their customers' cups.

All about the coffee bean

Nothing is left to chance, and certainly not the purchase of green coffee - the Wildkaffee Rösterei team takes care of this themselves. As a matter of principle, they obtain most of their green coffee only from farmers they know personally.

Once the beans arrive at the roastery, they are carefully processed to a high standard and undergo constant checks to maintain the usual top quality. However, this does not mean that every type of coffee always tastes the same. Coffee is a natural product and is exposed to different, sometimes extreme weather conditions every year. But which countries does the green coffee come from? The roastery sources its varieties mostly from South and Central America, such as Guatemala, Brazil, El Salvador, Panama ... but also from Kenya, Burundi and Rwanda, Africa. As well as India and Thailand.
