The Origin
The Alte Rebstock is one of the great classics of Johanneshof Reinisch and is pressed from St. Laurent, Zweigelt, and Blaufränkisch grapes from "nomen est omen" old vines. We should not fail to mention that these are not precisely our oldest vines that bear fruit for the Alte Rebstock, but they average a good 40 years of development – enough to yield grapes with dense aroma and invigorating minerality.
