Wine description:

If you consciously pour the wine into a rather larger Burgundy glass, the almost golden-tinged colour is reminiscent of a Prädikat wine. Only when swirled does the streak formation make you realise what a dense wine you have in your glass.

The smell convinces with some tropical notes, such as light hints of mango, papaya and pineapple. But the slightly tobacco-like notes - from the proportion of the wine aged in small wooden barrels - also enhance the animating smell.

On the palate, this Wagram Reserve from the BRUNNTHAL site also convinces with the exotic notes hinted at in the smell as well as a ripe dark spice. The finish on the palate seems almost never-ending and reminds you of this special drop for many minutes after the last sip.

Food recommendation: Hearty, substantial main courses such as dark meat, game, but also veal as well as hearty fish variations and spicy hard cheeses
