About the producer:

With the idea of bringing the then unknown soybean to Austria, roasting it and using it as a nutritious snack alternative to fatty peanuts, the foundation for Landgarten was laid over 30 years ago.

But perseverance pays off - we now produce up to 350 tons of soy per year at two locations in Bruck/Leitha and our organic range, with over 40 products, extends far beyond the original snack soy.

Herbert Stava and Johannes Strobl knew from the outset that a snack was not enough. They were determined to expand not only the product range but also their know-how over the years. And so the repertoire of raw materials used grew. From the obvious pumpkin seeds to the logical step of crunchy almonds, it was Herbert Stava's personal preference that led the two to experiment with chocolate.

From then on, the Landgarten success story took its course. Over 30 years, the family-run farm has developed into an internationally active organic snack company with a family character. A story that is always a pleasure to hear.

At Landgarten, all the raw materials used are sourced according to the motto "As locally as possible". In order to meet the annually growing demand for soy, we use contract farmers from the region in addition to our own fields. Our soybeans are cultivated and harvested within a radius of around 25 km in Lower Austria and Burgenland.
