St. Laurent  12.5% Vol.

Sankt Laurent is one of the aromatic Burgundy varieties. It originates from France. The first documented mention of St. Laurent in Austria dates back to 1860. This vine thrives best in medium-heavy, deep soils with a continental climate.

Its colour is a deep dark garnet red, which is complemented in the nose by slightly floral notes of violets, plum jam, subtle wood spice and hints of dark berries.
Fresh and lively on the palate. Rich berry fruit is repeated, wonderfully elegant spice, grippy tannins.
A wine with a lot of drinking pleasure.

This red wine goes perfectly with game dishes such as venison ragout, lamb or pasta with a spicy sauce.

Gruber-Röschitz Winery

Three generations, three siblings, three united spirits: Maria, Ewald and Christian have found their common denominator in the family business in the western Weinviertel: wine.

Whether in the vineyard, in the wine cellar or in wine sales, everyone at the Gruber Röschitz winery follows their innermost calling.
Wonderfully taut Grüner Veltliners, juicy Rieslings and finely nuanced St. Laurent and Pinot Noirs thrive in a biologically-organically managed microcosm in Röschitz, Lower Austria.

This includes granite, loess and clay soils as well as an airy, cool climate, which in turn brings unique freshness and minerality with fruit to the palate. The harmoniously flowing family dynamics, which combine old knowledge and new spirit, give the wines an unmistakably harmonious character.
