BIO Feta Miil P.D.O.: That's what's up! Imagine a traditional Greek cheese made from a blend of organic sheep's and goat's milk. PDO stands for Protected Designation of Origin. Since 2002, Feta has been a protected designation of origin in the European Union. EU and national legislation in 25 other countries restrict the designation Feta to cheese traditionally produced on the Greek mainland and on the island of Lesbos from sheep's and goat's milk from the same region.
Usage: BIO Feta is not only great as an appetizer with olives, but also goes wonderfully with pasta or in a traditional Greek salad. Feta is also used in baked goods, especially in Greek phyllo dough specialities such as spinach or cheese pie. Whether you serve it with olive oil or olives alone, be sure to sprinkle it with aromatic herbs to enhance its flavour. Or try giving the feta some fire and prepare it on the grill!
