About Lady Joseph
Pastries with French charm from Rioja in Spain are unusual. Behind it is a love story from the beginning of the 20th century in Bordeaux. There Josephine Bernaud and Esteban Cuesta met. Josephine moved with her husband to Rioja in Hajo and discovered the railway line between the two cities for herself. For the train passengers between Hajo and Bordeaux, she baked very successful biscuits and crackers as an uncomplicated travel provision and ran a tea room. Her recipes are still baked today according to the original records. Her great-granddaughters preserve the treasure and expand it in her spirit.
