Day-old bread becomes a tasty and valuable ingredient in fresh dough in our Comebäck-Brot - and thus becomes new bread. Enjoy our returnee and recycling in perhaps its most delicious form!
The Hager Comebäck-Brot lives up to its name: It brings back what gives new dough a very special note and the fresh, juicy-soft bread a wonderfully crispy crust.
We grate day-old bread for the Comebäck-Brot into fine crumbs, which we roast at 100°C and then let them become a fifth of our fresh dough.
A fifth from the day before, a whole 20%. We just do it like that. Because regardless of specifications, we are of the opinion that more recycling means less food waste and that mindful handling of food has rarely been as important as it is today.
