The banana-shaped fruit with its sweetish dark yellow-orange, firm flesh is usually less common in the trade than the usual varieties such as Hokkaido, spaghetti or butternut squash due to its size. Here the autumn vegetables come already prepared, without much effort the classic of the cold season can be processed directly, no peeling, no cutting, simply convenient.

Our "Pink Banana" comes from the wonderful centre of Main-Franconia. Known as a typical wine region, the natural region of Mainfranken offers equally fertile soils for vegetable cultivation. The organic pumpkin was grown strictly according to Demeter guidelines and comes from a seed-proof variety. This is how we guarantee a particularly fine nutty-sweet taste with the highest quality. For soups, oven vegetables, purees, sauces or as a side dish, the "Pink Banana" is therefore wonderfully suitable. Because of its sweetness, it is also very popular for baby porridge.

Preparation note: Especially suitable for oven vegetables, baby food or soups.

In the pot: Steam the pumpkin cubes with half a teaspoon of salt and four tablespoons of water for approx. 12 min. over medium heat.

In the oven: Mix the pumpkin cubes with a tablespoon of oil and half a teaspoon of salt. Then spread on a tray with baking paper. Cook the pumpkin cubes in the oven at 180°C for approx. 15 min.
