If you consciously pour the wine into a rather large Burgundy glass, the almost golden-tinged color is reminiscent of a Prädikat wine.
Only when swirled does the streaking make you realize what a dense wine you have in your glass.

The smell convinces with some tropical notes, such as light hints of mango, papaya and pineapple. But also the notes slightly reminiscent of tobacco - from the proportion of the wine aged in small wooden barrels - enhance the animating smell.
On the palate, this Wagram Reserve from the GOLDBERG site also convinces with the exotic notes hinted at in the smell, as well as a ripe, dark spice.
The finish lingers on the palate almost endlessly and reminds you of this special drop for many minutes after the last sip. Due to the fine yeast storage lasting almost a year, this wine has absolute storage potential and always comes onto the market a year later.

Goes well with: Strong, hearty main courses such as dark meat, game, but also veal as well as strong fish variations and spicy hard cheeses

Weinhof Waldschütz, with its headquarters in Sachsendorf, not only cultivates parts of the best sites on the Wagram, such as Scheiben, Brunnthal or Hammergraben, but can also enrich its range with top Kamptal wines! "The origin of our wines is of paramount importance to us," says young winemaker Ralph Waldschütz.

With 15ha of its own vineyards and some purchases from contract winegrowers, Weinhof Waldschütz manages an annual production of >100,000 bottles. The range is divided into GV and ZW for the most part, but RI and WB as well as a strong SB and a cuvée from ME and CS are the house specialties.

In addition to the wine estate in Sachsendorf, the family also runs a small but fine top-notch tavern in Obernholz, which was voted the best in the Kamptal in 2013.
