About the producer:

At Biohof Rohrauer in Burgenland, everything revolves around bees, honey and old fruit varieties. The family has been cultivating its own orchards and bee colonies for four generations - according to organic guidelines since 1995. Diverse landscapes with high biodiversity form the basis for organic beekeeping and valuable honey.

The landscape in Mittelburgenland is characterized by hilly mixed forests and numerous meadow orchards. In the border region with Hungary, vast and pristine forests have been preserved, which provide an optimal food and habitat for the bees. Some of the bee colonies are located in the Stoober "Biri" landscape protection area, one of the largest and oldest contiguous meadow orchard areas in Austria. This diversity is also reflected in the taste of the products and in the range of the apiary.
