Making wine means for the organic winery Zahel to create something in harmony with nature and with respect for craftsmanship and tradition, to bring untouched purity into the glass and to see the butterfly flying in the vineyard. They put their passion for wine and knowledge about the grapes not only into the Viennese Gemischter Satz but into every single bottle.

The Gemischter Satz, a very special white wine, contains at least three different grape varieties, all of which come from the same vineyard. There, they are not only planted side by side but also harvested and fermented together. This creates a wine that combines the advantages of the different grape varieties. We have also chosen the Gemischter Satz as our gurkerl.at wine.

The Zahel winery has been producing its wines biodynamically according to Demeter guidelines for four generations and promotes biodiversity in the 33-hectare vineyard through the use of special compost and diverse greening. Herbicides and pesticides have always been avoided.
