Preparation in a pot:
Bring lightly salted water to the boil. Put the apricot dumplings in while they are still frozen and, after the water has boiled up again, cook uncovered for about 15 minutes over a moderate heat. Stir several times while cooking.
Roasting
Put the frozen crumb-sugar mixture into a pan and heat over medium heat without adding fat for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Roll the finished dumplings in the hot breadcrumb and sugar mixture and sprinkle with icing sugar to taste.
