Bushy Poinsettia

Christmas begins with a blooming poinsettia! We deliver it carefully packed in a box so that it doesn't lose a single leaf during transport.
The beautiful poinsettia, also known as Poinsettia, has become a classic of the pre-Christmas season as a popular houseplant. With its vibrant red colour, it brightens up any room and brings a festive atmosphere to your home.
The plant is 50–55 cm high including the pot and bears at least 10 flowers. It is particularly bushy. Delivery is in a box for safe transport (also to protect against temperature fluctuations).

Care Instructions

Place the poinsettia in a bright spot without direct sunlight.
The temperature should not drop below 20 °C. The poinsettia belongs to the short-day plants. This means that the plant only blooms and its bracts take on an attractive colour if it receives eight to nine hours of light. Remember that the plant also cannot tolerate light from street or room lamps.

• Water it with soft, standing water at room temperature (rainwater is also suitable).
• Keep the substrate sufficiently moist and do not let it dry out.
• Due to its large leaves, the poinsettia plant has a relatively high water requirement and must not dry out (however, water should not stand permanently in the pot!).
• The poinsettia plant likes sufficient humidity and benefits from occasional misting.
• If the flower pot is near the heater, place a tray with moist pebbles in it.
• The poinsettia plant must not be placed on a cold windowsill, where it might suffer, and also not near a window through which air is ventilated!
• While other plants can tolerate temporary hypothermia, the poinsettia plant can shed its leaves and wilt.
