These fresh Vette Organic Mussels from the Netherlands are a true delight for seafood lovers. Each 0.55 kg pack contains approximately 60-80 certified organic mussels, packed under a protective atmosphere and staying fresh for up to 5 days. They are perfect for cooking in broth and bring the taste of the sea straight to your table. Please note, they are not suitable for freezing.

Preparation:
Cook for 4-5 minutes in water or in a strong tomato or white wine broth.
Note: Sort out opened or damaged mussels before preparation. Mussels open during cooking. Discard mussels that have not opened after cooking.
For mussels packed under a protective atmosphere, a little patience is required during the tap test. This is because the still-living mussels virtually fall asleep in the packaging, which is why they may not close immediately after tapping. A quick wake-up call in a sieve under running cold water and a few minutes to acclimatize are enough, and the shell halves will be tightly closed again in no time.
This product is not suitable for freezing, as the mussels die when frozen and will no longer open during preparation!!!
