D AMATI – IGP Puglia 2024
Chardonnay & Fiano | Apulia, Italy
Origin & Terroir
The D AMATI comes from Apulia, a traditional wine-growing region in the far southeast of Italy. Nestled between the Adriatic Sea to the east and the Ionian Sea to the south, the region, with its Mediterranean climate, abundant sunshine, and coastal soils, offers ideal conditions for cultivating aromatic white grape varieties. The over 800-kilometer long coastline gives the wines a characteristic freshness and maritime minerality.
Grape Varieties & Style
This cuvée combines the international elegance of Chardonnay with the Mediterranean finesse of the indigenous Fiano.
Chardonnay brings structure, creaminess, and subtle fruit richness.
Fiano complements with floral notes, lively acidity, and a spicy character.
The result is a balanced, modern white wine with a clear, terroir-driven identity.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested precisely at their optimal ripeness to extract a maximum of aromas. After gentle pressing of the berries, only the free-run must is used. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled 10–12 °C, perfectly preserving fruity and floral nuances. The aging takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks to maintain purity, freshness, and authenticity. The result is a wine with clear aromatic definition and an exciting balance.
Sensory Description
