The Conde Vimioso Tejo Tinto is a Portuguese red wine that is aged and matured for 6 months in oak barrels. 13.5% Vol.
It is a cuvée of Touriga Nacional, Castelão, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
Ruby red colour, on the nose aromas of red berries and fruit jam. Soft tannins give it a very pleasant and harmonious structure, which finishes with nuances of ripe fruit.
Pairs well with game, red meat and traditional Portuguese dishes.
About the winery:
Here, inland at the latitude of the capital Lisbon, perfect conditions are offered for fine red wines, which are pressed from Castelão Francês and Trincadeira Preta. In addition, other classics such as Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional or Chardonnay are also found here, which find very good conditions on the extremely coarse gravel soil. In 2004, a state-of-the-art winery was therefore built for Falua, which houses both stainless steel tanks for temperature-controlled fermentation and huge wooden vats. The Tejo winds its way between valleys and mountains, dividing the land between north and south (the temperate and wetter climate in the north and the hot weather in the endless Alentejo plain). Falua, located in the Charneca area and covered with the pebbles of the Tejo, is one of the most beautiful vineyards in Portugal.
