The yellow free-range chickens from Les Landes are the only ones that benefit from a specific rearing concept in this region, which uses small, removable and movable huts, the so-called Marensines. These chickens are raised for 81 days in the midst of pine forests and enjoy a mild climate. They are fed naturally, including a high proportion of cereals (at least 80%) from Les Landes, of which 50% is corn. This gives the meat its characteristic yellow color.
This type of free-range farming gives the chickens a particularly tasty and firm meat.
