About the producer:

The forestry and agricultural enterprise of the city of Vienna owns one of the largest organic farms in Austria. On an area of around 2,200 hectares, grain, potatoes and much more are produced. In the Laxenburg and Lobau sub-operations, crops are produced according to the guidelines of organic farming. Animal husbandry is also the focus of organic production and places great emphasis on animal welfare and generous space in the keeping of organic pigs and organic suckler cows. The refinement of the high-quality game meat, which comes 100% from the forests of the city of Vienna, requires seamless cooperation between hunting and meat manufacturing. This is how Wiener Gusto creates a variety of top products from deer, stag and wild boar.

The city of Vienna won the EU Organic Award as "Best Organic City" with its brand "Wiener Gusto", which offers organic products such as organic wheat flour, organic mountain lentils, organic potatoes, organic linseed oil, various organic flours and game meat specialties. In the future, organic fruit juices, organic sunflower oil, organic tofu as well as meat products from organic pigs and organic cattle are also planned. Climate councilor Jürgen Czernohorszky accepted the award in Brussels, and Mayor Michael Ludwig was proud of the award.
