Calvi BIO Native Extra Olive Oil, Rêuza‘
The blend from Liguria is delicately to medium-fruity. It consists of the Biancolilla (60%) and Taggiasca (40%) varieties. The Sicilian Biancolilla gives the oil a floral aroma and a hint of artichoke. The finish has a delicate pungency. It is a versatile oil that goes particularly well with vegetable dishes, fried fish and shellfish, and cream cheese.
About Calvi
The Calvi family is based in Imperia in Liguria and are fourth-generation olive oil merchants, producers and farmers. They are known for their Mosto Oro, a single-varietal olive oil made from late-harvested Taggiasca olives. In addition to this mildly fruity flagship oil, the Mosto Argento, a blend, and the finest anchovy fillets are the calling cards of this quality establishment.
