Ingredients for sandwich with Le Rond (2 persons)

FOR THE CONFITURE: ● 1 tbsp VIOBLOCK ● 2 red onions, diced ● 1 tsp salt ● 1 tsp black pepper ● 1 tbsp brown sugar ● 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar ● 220 g fresh strawberries, diced

FOR THE SANDWICH: ● 150 g Violife Le Rond, cut into 1 cm thick slices ● 2 tbsp VIOBLOCK ● 4 slices wholemeal sourdough bread ● Fresh lettuce leaves

PREPARATION
For the confiture, put VIOBLOCK in a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Add the onions, salt and pepper and sauté for about 10 minutes until they have turned golden brown.

Sprinkle with brown sugar and add the vinegar. Reduce the heat and simmer for another 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the strawberries and stir for another 5 minutes. Pour into a blender and puree. Fill into an airtight glass jar.

For the sandwich, heat some VIOBLOCK in a grill pan and fry the slices of bread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Spread the slices of bread with the confiture, top with the Le Rond slices, some lettuce leaves and the other slice of bread.

Cut in half and serve warm. Enjoy your meal!
