Mucomat Irritant Cough Solution, a pharmacy product for those over 18 only, is a 190 ml solution for the symptomatic treatment of dry cough in adults and children aged 6 and over. This antitussive works by reducing the overstimulation of the cough center, normalizing the cough reflex to provide effective relief from irritating coughs.

Description
Mucomat Reizhusten is used for the symptomatic treatment of dry cough in adults and children aged 6 years and over.
The medicine is an antitussive, it reduces the overstimulation of the cough center and thus normalizes the cough reflex.
See a doctor if your cough symptoms worsen, you experience chest pain, or your cough lasts longer than a week. Mucomat Reizhusten is only indicated for temporary use and should not be used continuously for more than 2 weeks.
Application
Children 6-15 years20 kg to 26 kg:5 ml 3-4 times daily
27 kg to 45 kg :7.5 ml 3-4 times daily
46 kg to 60 kg:15 ml 3-4 times daily
Adolescents > 15 years and adults
> 60 kg15 ml 3-4 times daily
Ingredients
The active ingredient is pentoxyverine citrate. 1 ml of the oral solution contains 2.13 mg
pentoxyverine citrate corresponding to 1.35 mg pentoxyverine.
The other ingredients are: benzoic acid, liquid sorbitol (non-crystallizing)
(E420), glycerol, propylene glycol, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate dihydrate,
sodium saccharin, pear flavor, juniper brandy flavor (contains flavorings,
benzyl alcohol [E1519] and alpha-tocopherol [E307]), purified water.
