Boxagrippal cold juice 200 MG/ 10 ML +30 MG/ 10 ML

BoxaGrippal Cold Syrup combines the active ingredients ibuprofen (200 mg/10 ml) and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (30 mg/10 ml, abbr.: PSE). This effective combination has pain-relieving, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory effects. Nasal sinuses are cleared.

BoxaGrippal Cold Syrup is a sugar-free suspension with cherry flavour and is suitable for diabetics. Due to the liquid galenic, the active ingredients are quickly absorbed and a noticeable relief of the symptoms occurs after a short time. The suspension for oral use does not contain any alcohol.

Application

We recommend BoxaGrippal Cold Syrup:
A measuring cup is included in the package for dosing,
Single dose: 10 - 20 ml
Maximum daily dose: 10 - 60 ml daily
Time: at intervals of 6 hours, with a meal

BoxaGrippal Cold Syrup may be taken by adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over. Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or even worse after 5 days.

A maximum daily dose of 60 ml BoxaGrippal Cold Syrup (equivalent to 1200 mg ibuprofen and 180 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride) must not be exceeded.

You should only use this combination drug if you have a blocked nose and pain or fever. If you only have one of these symptoms, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist about treatment with single substances.

 

 

Ingredients

BoxaGrippal Cold Syrup contains the following ingredients: the 2 active ingredients ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride as well as the other ingredients glycerol, xanthan gum, maltitol solution, polysorbate 80, saccharin sodium, citric acid monohydrate, sodium methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph.Eur.), sodium propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph.Eur.), cherry flavour (contains propylene glycol, water, flavourings and sodium citrate buffer) and purified water.

Contains maltitol, sodium methyl and sodium propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate.

What side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

If you notice any of the following symptoms while taking BoxaGrippal Cold Syrup, you must inform your doctor immediately, as these are serious side effects:

Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)

• Ulcers in the gastrointestinal tract

• Worsening of colitis and Crohn's disease (chronic inflammatory bowel diseases)

Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)

• Kidney problems (papillary necrosis) and increased uric acid concentration in the blood

Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)

• Worsening of infectious inflammations

• if you observe neck stiffness, headache, nausea, vomiting, fever or disorientation in patients with autoimmune diseases (SLE, mixed connective tissue diseases) (aseptic meningitis)

• decreased number of white blood cells (leukopenia)

• changes in blood clotting, increased risk of bleeding (thrombocytopenia)

• severe reduction in blood cells (pancytopenia), which can cause weakness, bruising or susceptibility to infection

• severe reduction in the number of white blood cells (agranulocytosis), which can cause susceptibility to infection

• a reduction in the most important white blood cells in the blood (neutropenia)

• unexplained wheezing, shortness of breath, rash (which can be severe and accompanied by blistering or peeling of the skin),

• swelling of the mouth or tongue, mouth ulcers, itching or bruising, drowsiness, rapid heartbeat or fluid retention, e.g. swollen ankles. All of these symptoms can be the result of anaphylactic shock and severe allergic reactions.

• psychotic reactions

• heart attack

• inflammation of the pancreas, leading to severe pain in the abdomen and back (pancreatitis)

• liver failure

• inflammation of the liver (hepatitis)

• severe skin infections and/or blistering, peeling of the skin (erythema multiforme, toxic epidermal necrolysis)

Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data)

• Stroke

• Chest pain

• irregular heartbeat

• A serious skin reaction known as DRESS syndrome may occur. Symptoms of DRESS include rash, fever, swollen lymph nodes and an increase in eosinophils (a type of white blood cell).

• at the start of treatment, a red, scaly, widespread rash with bumps under the skin and fever-accompanied blisters, located primarily on the skin folds, trunk and upper extremities (acute generalised pustular exanthem). Stop using BoxaGrippal Cold Syrup if you develop these symptoms and seek medical attention immediately.

• inflammation of the colon due to insufficient blood supply (ischemic colitis).

• reduced blood supply to the optic nerve (ischemic optic neuropathy).

Sodium methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and sodium propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate may cause hypersensitivity reactions, including delayed reactions.
