Tasting notes:

Colour: dark purple with violet reflections
Nose: ripe dark berries (blackberry, blueberries, cassis), spicy pepper notes and roasted aromas
Taste: dry, intense ripe cherry fruit with velvety tannins and a long finish

The Weingut Zahel is now in its 4th generation, with the focus always on the Viennese mixed set.

About 30 years ago, the winery wrote "Wiener Gemischter Satz" on a wine label for the first time, thus initiating a renaissance for the company. Today, the winery is the only Viennese winegrower to cultivate vineyards in all of Vienna's wine-growing zones on approx. 30 ha of vineyards. The wine-growing regions in Mauer, Oberlaa and on the Nussberg are of particular importance.

Since the 2017 vintage, the Weingut Zahel has been 100% organically certified with all its vineyards. And since the 2018 vintage, the winery has been able to count itself among the Demeter winegrowers and is Vienna's only Demeter winery. For the Weingut Zahel, biodynamics means preserving healthy soils and biodiversity in harmony with nature and man.
