Clementines, the bright orange citrus fruits, are the highlight of the winter months. They are often confused with tangerines. However, clementines are often low in seeds and their skin is thinner and more robust.
Especially in the winter months, they contribute to your varied diet by providing vitamin C, potassium and fibre. Due to their low calorie content, they are also ideal for a conscious diet.
Clementines like it cool and dark. They quickly start to mould when damp.
Storage recommendation
Citrus fruits stay fresh for several weeks when stored dry, cool and dark. Like most citrus fruits, they do not tolerate cold and should therefore not be stored in the refrigerator. It is best to store them in a fruit basket.
