250g pack, 2-3 pieces.

The snake eggplant can grow up to 40cm long, with a diameter of about 5cm. Perhaps it is also due to this very small diameter that the flesh of the eggplant is very tender, almost melting on the tongue; it also has very few seeds. The advantages of the snake eggplant are its special long shape, a melting texture, edible skin and sweet taste.

Peeling is unnecessary because the skin is thin and also contains flavourings. The pulp contains bitter substances, some varieties more, others less.

Use

ideal for Asian cuisine

- As a vegetable: fry or grill or stew with other vegetables (for example with courgettes, tomatoes, peppers and onions and garlic > ratatouille).
- As a main course: with fillings of various kinds, stew or bake.

Storage recommendation

Eggplant is one of the cold-sensitive vegetables and should therefore not be stored in the refrigerator.
