BIO Bottled pear Boscs

ORIGIN:

The exact origin of the variety is unknown. It is said to be a breeding by a well-known Belgian pear breeder named van Mons. 

FRUIT DESCRIPTION:

The fruit is medium to large and is bottle- to club-shaped, with a calyx-like belly.

Towards the stem, it is usually somewhat constricted, tapers sharply, and ends in a conical to rounded tip. The fruit shape is usually slightly curved.

About the producer

Christof Unfried manages the fruit farm, which has existed for generations, near the World Heritage Site Wachau/Stift Göttweig. Not far from the city of Krems, apples, pears, cherries, and apricots grow on gentle hills, all of course in organic quality.
