This medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product registered exclusively on the basis of long-standing use for the above-mentioned indications.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 5 days, consult your doctor.

What should you pay attention to before taking it?

What should you be aware of before taking BRONCHOSTOP Cough Drops?
BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozengesmust not be taken,
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to thyme or any other member of the labiates family or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6. or any of the other ingredients of this medicine listed in section 6.
Warnings and precautions
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking BRONCHOSTOP Cough Pastilles.

If you have a fever, shortness of breath or purulent sputum, consult a doctor.

Children
Use in children under 6 years of age is not recommended due to insufficient data and the risk of accidental swallowing of the whole lozenge.

Taking BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozengeswith other medicines.Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines.
No interactions with other medicines are known.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Due to insufficient data, use during pregnancy and breast-feeding is not recommended.

Driving and ability to operate machinery
No studies have been conducted on the effects on driving and ability to operate machinery.

BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozengescontain fructose and sorbitol
This medicine contains 300 mg fructose and 523 mg sorbitol per lozenge.
Sorbitol is a source of fructose.
Talk to your doctor before taking/giving this medicine if your doctor has told you that you (or your child) have an intolerance to some sugars or if you have been diagnosed with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI) - a rare congenital condition in which fructose cannot be broken down.
Note for diabetics: 1 lozenge corresponds to approx. 0.1 BE. This should be taken into account for patients with diabetes mellitus.

How should the medicine be taken?

How should BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozenges be taken?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over:
1 to 2 lozenges every 3 to 4 hours (4 to 6 times daily).

Children aged 6 to 12 years:
1 lozenge 3 times a day.

Style of administration
For oral use (dissolve in the mouth by sucking).

Duration of use
Self-treatment with BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozenges should be limited to 5 days. If there is still no significant improvement, you should consult a doctor, as a more serious condition may be present.

Use in children under 6 years of age
Use in children under 6 years of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data and medical advice should be sought.

If you have taken a larger amount of BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozengesthan is recommended.
You should
If you have considerably overdosed on this medicine, symptoms known as side effects may increase. In this case, please inform your doctor. He or she can decide on any measures that may be necessary.

If you forget to take BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozenges
Do not take twice the amount if you have forgotten to take it before.

If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not store above 25°C.
Store the blister pack in its original packaging to protect the contents from light.Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the blister and on the outer carton after "Use by". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month indicated.

Do not dispose of medicines in waste water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of the medicine when you stop using it. In this way, they help to protect the environment.

.strong>What BRONCHOSTOP Cough Pastillescontain
- The active ingredient is: Thyme dry extract
1 lozenge contains 59.5 mg thyme dry extract (Thymi herba, drug extract ratio 7-13 : 1, extractant water)
- The other ingredients are:
Arabic gum (gum arabic E 414), fructose, sorbitol (E 420), maltodextrin, anhydrous citric acid (E 330), saccharin sodium (E 954), chokeberry flavouring, wild berry flavouring, paraffin wax thin, purified water.

How BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozengeslook and contents of the pack
BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozenges are hexagonal, brown, fruit-flavoured lozenges. BRONCHOSTOP Cough Lozenges are sealed in PVC/PE/PVdC aluminium blister packs and are packed in 20 or 40 pieces. Not all package sizes may be placed on the market.
